Mike explained the baptism in the Holy Spirit by describing Pentecost, where 120 believers—already born again—were suddenly filled with the Spirit, accompanied by signs like a rushing wind, tongues of fire, and speaking in different languages, showing empowerment rather than salvation itself. He emphasised that the Holy Spirit actively works within believers—bringing new life, shaping their character, and enabling them for service—and concluded that this baptism is a real, personal experience that confirms our adoption into God’s family, fills us with His love, assures us of salvation, and is something believers are encouraged to seek as a deeper, life‑changing relationship with God.

In this Pentecost message Stuart encourages us to constantly renew our filling of the holy spirit and seek fresh encounters with him. When we were filled with the holy spirit we might have had an amazing experience but we must remember that "that was then but this is now" and therefore a daily desire for fresh encounters helps us live in the present. You can't expect an encounter of the holy if you are still living in an encounter you once had. You must be open to what God has for you today.

France explains how we need God with us all the time.
Quoting from Exodus 33v15, "If your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here"
 and from Romans 8v14, Galations 5v19-23, 1Sam 15v22-23,
 and from Exo 24v12, 2Pet 3v9, Heb 4v14-16, 1John 2v1-2.

Stephen explains how God's promises are "Yes and Amen" and that we should "Open the Book" and get to know God better by reading His Word.

Brendan shares from 1 Peter 5:5–11 the call to keep moving forward despite life’s challenges. He emphasises the importance of humility, encouraging believers to cast their cares on God and remain alert and steadfast in faith.

Mike Keeping draws from Romans 10:9–13 to share the foundation of salvation through faith in Christ. He emphasises that there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, as the same Lord is over all.

Felix encourages us to pursue God more than any material thing. to increase our desire for God, to meet regularly with God, to return to our first love, to ask God for fresh fire, to make time for God, and to grow in love with the word of God.

Brendan encourages us to be certain of some unchangeable truths in the uncertain times we live in. This includes that we can be certain of God's love, certain that we need God, certain of our eternity with God, certain that we are not alone, certain in our suffering for christ, and certain that Jesus is preparing our future.

Mike explains from John 12v17-22 that the signs in the Gospel of John are important and prove that Jesus is the Messiah. 

Mike shows how the Jews were expecting a different type of Messiah and this clouded their judgement when considering Jesus and His miracles.

Stephen draws on Romans 5:17, 1 John 2:2, and 2 Corinthians 5:21 to present the call to reign in life through Christ. Building on the previous message from Martin, he emphasises that it is by God’s grace alone, not our qualifications, that we are saved.
